Getting Around - Transit

While car rentals are available at the airport and downtown, we would highly recommend exploring low-emission transportation options during your stay!

Getting to Victoria:

From the ferry terminal:

  • There is an express bus from the ferry terminal (70) and a more indirect route which stops in Sidney (72) Both buses stop throughout downtown. Please note that buses in Victoria are CASH ONLY.
  • Yellow Cabs are also available from the ferry terminal (please note that the drive into Victoria is over 30mins).

From the airport:

  • Public transit directly from the terminal is available with limited times, alternative transportation options are limited. YYJ provides options here and the #88 Bus schedule leaving YYJ is available here

Other options:

  • For those travelling from Vancouver, Nanaimo, or other nearby destinations, Harbour Air offers seaplane flights directly into downtown Victoria. Information about student discount rates can be found here.
